About Us

At Atala Limited we focus purely on private estate forestry and woodland management working throughout North East Scotland from our Head Office near Banff in Aberdeenshire and across Northern England from our base near York, North Yorkshire.

Providing bespoke long term sustainable forest management planning tailored specifically to suit you and your objectives. Our work includes commercial forestry programmes, forest restructuring and continuous cover and traditional estate woodland management. Working independently, we act solely for the woodland owner, leaving us free to act entirely in the interests of our clients.

Passionate about the countryside, conservation and sporting issues we have almost 40 years experience looking after woodland owned by family estates, farms, family trusts, charities, wildlife trusts, utility plcs and local authorities. We are also now becoming increasingly involved in helping new woodland owners manage their properties.

Rob is happy to meet you, discuss your ideas and provide support and advice.

Forestry & Woodland Management

Woodlands are truly inspirational spaces and provide a hugely diverse range of benefits to the wider environment, local communities and the economy. People also own woodlands for many different reasons;

• Timber, biomass and woodfuel production

• Conservation, sporting and wildlife

• Landscape development and improvement

• Shelter and non-wood forest products

• Biodiversity and habitat management

• Amenity and recreation

We will help you to realise the full potential of your woodlands and to get started we offer a free, no obligation meeting to discuss your ownership objectives. We will follow up on this with a plan of action to deliver the level of service that is most suited to your needs from consultancy to long-term planning and work programme implementation.

• Tree and hedge planting
